Job Summary:
Drive revenue growth and maximize opportunities to develop the Supply Chain Risk Management solution in the US, Mexico and Canada within agreed priority industry sectors (preferably Pharmaceutical, Home & Personal Care and/or Food Products).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the revenue generation for this new SaaS solution in North America. Be the focal point for product and service knowledge to encourage colleagues to generate new opportunities for this solution. To develop a sales pipeline and convert opportunities into agreed contracts.
• Responsible for developing strategic plans for this solution to advance the company's mission and objectives, and for driving revenue and growth from priority industry sectors and tactical opportunities within the North America region, in cooperation with SGS colleagues, consistent with the business initiatives and strategies.
• Manage the development, implementation and alignment of account-specific plans, processes and improvement initiatives to meet company sales and objectives in conjunction with Global Supplier Verification Manager and other SGS colleagues.
• Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the sales & marketing strategy, as well as working with our partner, Transparency-One, on product development.
• Prepare annual budget and short/long term business plans that are complete, attainable, and consistent with the goals and objectives of the Business.
• Ensure prompt resolution of service delivery issues or matters of customer concern to maintain an effective relationship, monitor and close outstanding invoices.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Required Skills:
• College degree preferred - areas of concentration in marketing or business. Masters/MBA degree in a Business related subject preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience of sales and/or business development in the sector of New Technologies (IT and web solutions, Software as a Solution (SaaS), software applications, data management), ideally with the Pharmaceuticals, Home and Personal
Care or food products industries
• Previous experience as a sales person in the accreditation field/ISO sector a highly
desirable asset
• Experience at selling “solutions” and/or service type products within a B2B environment
at a high level within organizations
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management is a plus
• Ability to travel as job requires (e.g., regional, national, short notice, planned, etc.)
• Fluent in English (i.e., written & oral), Bilingual in Spanish an asset but not required.
• Technical selling skills & product knowledge in sector areas (e.g., Quality,
Environmental, etc.).
